Trading Management Trainee
Responsibilities:
- Supporting trading team activities.
- Assisting trading contracts and all documentation processes.
- Working in cooperation with shipping and trade operation departments.
- Researching and processing customs and trade data.
- Invoicing and reconciling any related operational issues.
- Analyzing new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (minimum C1).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management, engineering, economics, international trade, foreign trade, or a related field.
- Intermediate to Advanced level experience with Excel spreadsheets and analysis including pivot tables and graphing. High level of numeracy skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs– Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills.
- High-achiever mindset: task-oriented, able to remain focused in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable experience with internal and external stakeholder management from work experience or projects.
- An interest in a long-term career in international business and commodity trading.
- Young and ambitious to learn, self-driven, ability to take initiative.
- Team player, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of being dynamic and goal-oriented.
- Able to work under pressure with full dedication to work in a challenging, multinational, complex, and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to West and North Africa and ability to work flexible hours.
- Understanding of different cultures.
