Trade Manager - Fuel Trading - APAC

Heidelberg Materials Trading is the international trading arm of Heidelberg Materials, handling overseas dry-bulk products exports and imports. We are looking for a talent to join our Fuel Trading Team as a Trade Manager - Fuel Trading – APAC in our Singapore office.

Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in fuel trading
  • Extensive network within the industry, including miners, refineries, and suppliers
  • In-depth knowledge of regional markets
  • University degree, preferably in engineering, logistics, business management, or a related field
  • Proven track record in coal trading with P&L responsibility
  • Familiarity with International banking, commercial procedures, dry bulk shipping, Inco-terms, and ICC 500
  • Excellent command of English (TOEFL IBT 100/120 or IELTS band score 7); proficiency in other foreign languages, especially Asian languages, is an asset
  • Self-motivated, team-player with excellent communication skills
  • Dynamic, goal-oriented, highly flexible, and hardworking
  • Ability to handle stress and work in a challenging, multinational, complex, and fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer focus (internal and external)
  • Willingness for extensive overseas travel and international mobility
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Good negotiation and presentation skills
  • Corporate professionalism with the enthusiasm to work long and flexible hours
Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of Heidelberg Materials Group and 3rd party sales for the APAC region
  • Provide support to the Fuels Trading team in the APAC region
  • Ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations for HMT and maintain high levels of supplier satisfaction
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making, profit maximization, and market share in international trading
  • Gather and report international market information to assist top management in planning and development strategies
  • Collaborate closely with other departments, particularly shipping and documentation
  • Coordinate with other HMT sales offices
  • Forecast sales volumes to facilitate budgeting and planning for the designated trading area
